We develop creative, victim-centered interventions that support people and organizations to confront human rights abuses affecting the Syrian community<\/p>\n

To achieve our mission, we have established two units:<\/p>\n

International Law Support Unit<\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”ncontentcenter”]The International Law Support Unit (ILSU)<\/span>, with a mandate of equipping Syrian NGOs, including victims\u2019 and women-led organizations, with self-sufficient capacity in international law to conduct their efforts and accomplish their mission in fighting impunity, including in creative ways.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text el_class=”ntitle”]<\/p>\n

Human rights and Business Unit<\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”ncontentcenter”]The Human Rights and Business Unit (HRBU)<\/span>, with a mandate to create initiatives and increase the ability of stakeholders, including SNGOs, state actors and INGOs, to influence and use alternative forms of accountability against perpetrators of corporate-related human rights abuses in the Syrian conflict.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text el_class=”ntitle”]<\/p>\n

ECOSOC Consultative Status<\/p>\n

The Syrian Legal Development Programme (SLDP) has been granted Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This status enables SLDP to engage meaningfully with ECOSOC and its subsidiary bodies, including the Human Rights Council, and, under specific conditions, with certain meetings of the UN General Assembly, other intergovernmental bodies, and the United Nations Secretariat. Through this recognition, SLDP strengthens its ability to contribute to global dialogue and policymaking, advocating for the communities it serves on the international stage.<\/p>\n
